Tyan Thunder K8QE - nowa platforma dla serwerów i stacji roboczych

Dla wszystkich profesjonalistów, wymagających maksymalnej wydajności od swojego sprzętu, firma Tyan przygotowała nową płytę główną, Thunder K8QE. To potężne urządzenie wyposażone zostało w cztery gniazda procesora ( socket 940) i przeznaczone jest zarówno dla serwerów jak i stacji roboczych. Platforma zbudowana w oparciu o chipsety NVIDIA nForce Professional 2200 oraz NVIDIA nForce Professional 2050 posiada szesnaście slotów pamięci DDR, cztery złącza PCI Express x16, osiem portów USB 2.0 i cztery SATA (raid 0,1, 0+1). Ponadto produkt zawiera zintegrowaną grafikę XGI Volari™ Z7 z 16MB pamięci DDR a także gigabitowy kontroler sieci (trzy porty). Cena urządzenia nie jest znana, można jednak przypuszczać, że będzie wysoka.
